Volkswagen will reveal its next electric vehicle at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas on Tuesday. But can it live up to the hype that surrounded VW’s last big release?
On Tuesday, Volkswagen will reveal its next electric vehicle.

VW hasn’t said much about the new model, but it could be a sedan.
The new vehicle will be unveiled at CES at 4 p.m. Pacific Time.
When it debuted in 2022 as a battery-powered reimagining of VW’s iconic bus, it created quite the, ahem, buzz. It’s unclear whether Volkswagen’s next vehicle will make the same impact because Volkswagen hasn’t revealed much about it.
It has only stated that it will unveil a camouflaged version of “the newest member of its all-electric family” and will not reveal the model’s name.

But we can guess what Volkswagen has in store.
Last summer, the company unveiled the ID. Aero show car, a concept version of its first fully electric sedan. At the time, it was referred to as the ID. Aero is a “preview of the next member of the ID family.”
It stated that the production car would have a sleek, aerodynamic design, a large, premium interior, and a driving range of more than 600 kilometers (373 miles). It will be sold in Europe, China, and the United States.
Volkswagen has pursued an aggressive EV strategy in recent years, and it currently sells ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.6, and ID. Buzz models are available worldwide.
